2021.09.13 - IACA Announces FY22 Artist Fellowship Program
The Illinois Arts Council Agency (IACA) is pleased to announce the opening of the 2022 Artist Fellowship Program. The application is open in the Illinois Arts Council’s online Salesforce system and has a deadline of November 1, 2021 at 11:59pm. Awards will be announced in the spring of 2022.
Artist Fellowship Program
The Artist Fellowship Program's intent is to enrich and strengthen the state of Illinois by supporting accomplished Illinois artists who are the foundation of Illinois' creative environment. The Artist Fellowship Program recognizes exceptional artists who have created a substantial body of work throughout their career by providing awards to support continued artistic growth.
The IACA will provide a limited number of $15,000 awards across the following discipline categories:
- Crafts
- Digital Arts
- Ethnic & Folk Arts
- New Art Forms
- Visual Arts (includes sub-categories of photography, sculpture, and visual-based arts)
A limited number of $1,500 Finalist Awards will also be given.
This is not a project-specific grant. The Fellowship Program is meant for artists whose work is of exceptional artistic merit and who are at a career stage beyond emerging.
The IACA encourages artist working in these disciplines and who are residents of Illinois to apply.
Important to note is that the Fellowship applications will be submitted in IACA’s new online platform: https://arts-illinois.force.com
Previous IACA applicants would have received communication in January to enable them to login to their accounts. New applicants should create a new user account. If you have trouble logging in please email iac.info@illinois.gov. More information on the new online system, including a user manual, can be found on the IACA website.
An Online Webinar will be available for applicants on Wednesday, September 29, 2021, 1:00 PM Central Time. Pre-registration is required.
Also, IACA staff are available via a drop-in video meeting to answer any questions on Fellowship program or the new online grant system. You do not need to pre-register, simply click the link at the time of the meeting to join the call via WebEx:
