The Illinois Arts Council’s (IAC) Creative Accelerator Fund (CAF) provides crucial support to artists with a goal of strengthening the creative workforce that composes a significant portion of Illinois’ economic activity.

Creative Projects Grant (CPG)

Opens: July 1, 2026

Deadline: Closed

 

Creative Project Grant (CPG) supports art projects with a public release or presentation for Illinois artists, eligible not-for-profit organizations, municipal entities, or colleges and universities.

Illinois Humanities

At IL250.org, individuals and organizations can sign up to become a promotional partner, establish an IL250 community, submit events to the local and national calendar, and access resources.

Illinois Performing Artist Index

The Illinois Performing Artist Index, is a new statewide resource that showcases Illinois performing artists and makes it easier for presenters, venues, and event organizers to discover local talent. The Illinois Artist Index will replace the previous Artstour Roster. Registration is free and only takes about ten minutes. 

Capital Development Board/Art-in-Architecture Program

Deadline: October 21

 

CDB/AIA is now accepting Requests for Qualifications (RFQs) from Illinois professional artists for ARTWORK PURCHASES at the Western Illinois University Center for Performing Arts in Macomb, Illinois (Project #818-010-096). The Committee is seeking two works of art, no larger than 5'x7', to display on the mezzanine wall. The work should be 2D or 3D suitable for hanging, with a maximum projection off the wall of 4”. There is no limit regarding type of media, but abstract or non-objective artwork is preferred at this phase, though all subject matter is welcome.
