The artwork is crafted by Dwight White II, a multidisciplinary artist known for his ability to weave historical narratives through contemporary visual language. White's mural is designed to not only honor the legacy of the Tuskegee Airmen but also to engage the community by inviting stories and reflections from those who encounter it. During the mural's creation, local residents frequently interacted with White, illustrating the importance of public art as a medium for community dialogue.
