"description": "This special event will celebrate the completion of a lasting piece of public art created by artist Robert Treece in honor of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. This mural represents not only an important moment in our nation’s history, but also the power of the arts to bring people together and strengthen communities.
The afternoon celebration will feature music on the Carnegie Library lawn, including a brass quartet and a children’s chorus; refreshments; and brief remarks from Olney Mayor Mark Lambird and Illinois Arts Council board member Michael Conn. The Carnegie Library will also be open during the event, featuring its World War II exhibit for guests to enjoy.",
