One State Together in the Arts 2013

Convened every other year by the Illinois Arts Council Agency and Arts Alliance Illinois, One State Together in the Arts is the only statewide, multidisciplinary conference for arts leaders, advocates and practitioners in Illinois.  Over 250 people from across Illinois came together in the Quad Cities for One State — a conference with some of the most innovative thinkers, doers, and culture shapers in the state and beyond.

This year’s One State presenters explored from the inside out what happens when arts and community engage.  They reflected the imagination, diversity, and resolve of our broader arts community. Each told a different story, but they all shared a deep belief in what it means to show up as citizens. To build the bonds of trust and connection in our communities through artistry and activism.
