Partners in Excellence

Due to COVID 19 restrictions around social distancing and the State of Illinois “work from home” order, the 2021 Program Grant awards will be announced slightly later than usual. The Illinois Arts Council Agency (IACA) hopes to have decisions to the field by early October. Start dates for the grants will be adjusted accordingly.

We will continue to do our best to keep you updated.  If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to the appropriate IACA Program Director. Contact information and general announcements can be found on the IACA website at arts.illinois.gov.

The Partners in Excellence (PIE) Program provides general operating support to designated organizations of scale and significance in all regions of the state.

The PIE Program recognizes organizations that bring access to high quality arts activities to diverse communities throughout Illinois. The PIE Program places priority on access to arts programs for rural, underserved, and multi-cultural audiences.

NEW Illinois Grant Accountability and Transparency Act

  • Before submitting an application through the Illinois Arts Council Agency’s eGrant system, applicants must first complete a validation process through the State of Illinois’s Grantee Portal to obtain a pre-qualification status. The IACA will not be able to consider an application for funding until the applicant has completed this step.
  • Pre-qualification through the Grantee Portal is required for all organizations, units of government, and schools and school-affiliate organizations applying for grant funding from the IACA.
  • To obtain a pre-qualification status, go to the Grantee Portal (https://grants.illinois.gov/portal).
  • Refer to the Grant Accountability and Transparancy Act/GATA page on the IACA website for specific details.
