how to prepare

Think about your site needs

  • What arts programming does your site offer?
  • Would you like to expand upon current arts programming?
  • What areas would be new to your site?
  • Are you interested in hosting a performance?
  • Would you like to offer an opportunity for hands-on learning?

Review the “Participating Artists” section to see the list of artists involved with the event.

  • What disciplines interest you?
  • Are there certain artists you want to find more information about?

Read the roster listings to determine which artists you would like to meet.

what to bring

In order to maximize your Artist Showcase experience, past participants have suggested bringing the following items:

  • Business card or mailing labels
You may want to leave your contact information with artists that you are interested in. Many participants prefer leaving a business card or label rather than writing their information down for each artist.
  • Bag
Most artists will have materials for you to take at their booths, and handouts will be provided in presentation rooms. You will also receive an Artist Showcase folder at registration with information for the event. A bag is a great way to carry everything throughout the day.
  • Paper and Pen
You may find it helpful to take notes on the artists you meet.
