About the Knowledge Center

The Illinois Arts Council’s Knowledge Center was developed as a resource for the arts and cultural community in Illinois. Here you will find accessible research materials, free field publications, and a variety of local, statewide, regional, and national online resources through which we envision:

• A growing number of Illinoisans will understand and affirm the role and value of the arts and creativity to themselves, their communities, and our state.
• The arts and cultural community statewide will be stronger and better connected – to each other and to the broader community – and will use these new connections to advance a more vital and robust creative landscape for the entire state.
